Custom Inventory

Under Custom Inventory you maintain the reusable base data for your devices and parts: manufacturers, models, and categories. This data lives at the workspace level and is available to all deployments.

Shared master data from parent workspaces

Some master data — in particular device manufacturers and device models — can be shared from a parent workspace (e.g. by a manufacturer or service team). Such shared entries appear in your workspace but are maintained centrally by the parent workspace.

For example, machine manufacturers only need to create a model once, and all customer workspaces can use it. You can use shared entries, but cannot edit or delete them yourself.
