Execution
Once a Work Order is created and assigned, the assigned user can start executing the work.
Starting a Work Order
Section titled “Starting a Work Order”- Open the work order from the Work Orders list or from a notification
- Change the status to Started
- Work through the tasks, marking each as completed (or skipped/failed)
- Add notes, photos, or files as documentation
Tracking time
Section titled “Tracking time”Work orders support two types of time tracking:
- Planned Duration — The expected time set when the work order was created
- Resolution Duration — The actual time taken to complete the work
The resolution duration is calculated based on when the work order was started and finished. You can also manually adjust it if needed.
Documenting work
Section titled “Documenting work”Adding notes
Section titled “Adding notes”Add notes to the work order to document what was done, any issues encountered, or observations for future reference.
Attaching files
Section titled “Attaching files”Upload photos, videos, and documents during execution:
- Before/after photos of maintenance work
- Screenshots of error messages
- Measurement readings or test results
- Completed paper forms or certificates
Recording spare parts usage
Section titled “Recording spare parts usage”If spare parts were used during the work, record them in the relevant tasks. This updates inventory levels and creates a traceable history of parts consumption.
Working with multiple devices
Section titled “Working with multiple devices”When a work order covers multiple devices, you work through each device’s tasks independently. The work order’s overall progress reflects the combined status of all device-level tasks.
