Workspace
A Workspace is the top organizational level in WAKU Care. It represents your organization and brings together all users, devices, templates, master data, and deployments in one place.
What a workspace contains
Section titled “What a workspace contains”Within a workspace, you centrally manage:
- Members & Roles — Who has access and what they can do (see Managing Members and Roles & Permissions)
- Master Data — Device models, device manufacturers, parts, and their manufacturers (see Master Data)
- Templates — Work templates and case templates reused across all deployments
- Tags — Workspace-wide labels for structuring your data (see Tags)
- Deployments — The individual sites where your devices operate
Workspaces and deployments
Section titled “Workspaces and deployments”A workspace is divided into one or more Deployments. Each deployment represents a physical site or installation (e.g. a warehouse, a factory hall, or a customer site).
| Level | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Workspace | Organization-wide data: users, master data, templates, tags |
| Deployment | Site-specific data: devices, cases, work orders, inventory |
Master data and templates you create at the workspace level are automatically available to all deployments. For example, you maintain a device model once and use it across several sites.
For more on how sites work, see Deployments.
Customer workspaces
Section titled “Customer workspaces”Service providers and manufacturers can additionally manage Customer Workspaces — separate workspaces for their clients that they oversee and support. See Customer Workspaces.
Next steps
Section titled “Next steps”- Settings — Configure your workspace
- Managing Members — Invite users and assign roles
